EMPOWER: Leadership and Worship Arts Camp is a unique experience for students in grades 7th – 12th (Based on Fall 2016).
At EMPOWER youth will have the opportunity to grow through Loving, Learning and Leading. They will participate in small groups, skill groups, and creative groups. Small Groups will be a time for attendees to discuss deeper theological topics relating to leadership, worship and art. Skill Groups will be a time for attendees to separate into the track they would like to pursue: Leadership or Worship Arts. Inside Skill Groups students will have the opportunity to learn specific skills related to specific interests. The Leadership Skills track will be challenged to utilize their gifts of leadership for the entire community. The Worship Arts Skills track will be challenged to develop worship experiences including all forms of art. Creative Groups offer an opportunity for students from both Skill Groups to learn new ways to express who God has created them to be. They will have the opportunity to learn stained glass creation, poetry and spoken word, as well as other creative skills.
EMPOWER takes place on the beautiful campus of Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, TN. Students will stay in college dormitory housing and eat meals in the dining hall. They will share apartments with other students and the EMPOWER staff will have housing on the same floor to insure proper Safe Sanctuary and Boundary procedures.
Registration will open soon. The cost includes all materials, housing and food. Students will be asked to provide their own bedding, towels, and hygiene products. COST $320.
